Since the announcement of getting backwards compatibility, momentum on the Xbox One's appeal has been steadily increasing, to the point where although the PS4 is still leagues ahead in sales, people are finally willing to give the hefty beast of a console another shot. And for good reason. Although the Kinect was a disastrous implement that almost ruptured the hull and sent the console down to the inky depths for good, there's a ton of things hardly anyone admits the Xbox One does better than the PS4, which once you start factoring in all the exclusive games already waiting to be played, provides quite the mighty package. So far, console exclusives haven't been a big part of this generation overall, instead nearly every major title in 2015 has been multi-platform, furthering this sense that the consoles themselves aren't all that different. Microsoft are setting up to change that perception in 2016 with the help of things like Scalebound, Gears of War 4, Crackdown 3 and Quantum Break (to name but four), and right now there's just as many awesome underrated games you won't find on Sony hardware - each one of them more than worth your time.
