If the Grand Theft Auto franchise is known for one thing, it’s that spirit of sheer, unbridled mayhem. With its gleeful violence, unsavoury characters and seedy missions, Rockstar’s series has it all.
Like South Park, this series always takes care to embrace every adult theme it possibly can. As a result, it’s been one of the most controversial franchises in gaming history, perhaps outright taking the top spot.
While this controversy has sometimes accomplished little more than making the series even more popular (as controversy inevitably does), some genuine points have been raised. There are times when the series goes too far, even by the standards it's set for itself.
In addition, Grand Theft Auto has some issues beyond morality. It may be among the most popular properties in the industry, but it has its problems like any other. Constructive criticism is always a positive thing, however hard it can be to dispense or receive.
Ultimately, legions of fans around the world want the eventual Grand Theft Auto VI to be as good as it can possibly be, and it's okay to acknowledge the things we don't want to see; the rough edges we'd like sanded down.

12. Grand Theft Auto V Is Played Out
It’s tough to deny everything Rockstar achieved with Grand Theft Auto V. As one of the biggest franchises in the industry, the weight of expectation was colossal, but the team delivered in a big way.
There’s a reason the game’s still so successful after all this time, but as a direct result, a sequel is all but inevitable. It’s been a very long time coming, too - seven years, in fact.
With the new console generation landing soon, a new Grand Theft Auto game would be all the reason many gamers need to jump on board.
Instead, almost as a placeholder of sorts, Rockstar have confirmed that yet another enhanced version of Grand Theft Auto V is coming to PlayStation 5.
A lot of fans are surely completely on board with this decision and will be snapping up the game (again) whenever it releases for the system. This is all well and good, but the desperation for something (anything) about Grand Theft Auto 6 is almost palpable.
There’s really no way it won’t happen, but when will see what's next? There's only so long a team can rest on their laurels and ride on existing successes.
