18 New Video Games Coming In 2015 You Need To Know About
Sequels are all well and good, but these are the future of innovation.
It's not hard to find a slew of gaming things to get excited about in 2015 - there's everything from virtual reality headsets and full body-capturing tech to a swathe of delayed titles finally coming out and here; a laundry list of new franchise-starters arriving to tear your console a new one. If there's one thing that's starting to become increasingly evident in the gaming industry, it's that it's far easier and more bankable to fall back on an established formula than to innovate from scratch and really make a mark. Just look at Assassin's Creed: Unity, it may have resonated with diehard fans of the franchise, but for the vast majority it's another title that promised - and looked - to deliver so much, yet the end result was enigmatic of a tired formula stretched far past its breaking point. Now that the new consoles have been out for over a year both developers and publishers have gotten get their acts together, and although 2015 will also see things like the sixth major Elder Scrolls, ninth main Metal Gear and fifteenth overall Call of Duty, it's great to see just as many original IPs gearing up to charm your socks off too.
