If there was ever one game to arrive into my hands out of nowhere (and very rapidly take over my life), it was Dark Souls. I was almost late to the party, boarding the Souls Bus at the release of Dark Souls 2. I then made a trip out especially to check out Dark Souls the first; a cheaper option that suited me financially at the time.
Strange to think, I wasn’t actually hooked right away. In fact, I almost binned the damn thing.
Had I given in to my impatience, I would have missed out on one of the most incredible, most rewarding experiences in gaming, ever.
Not only has this game introduced me to one of the best video game franchises of all time, but it has also made a genuinely positive impact on my life as a whole.
