9 100+ Hour Video Games You NEED To Play
Cyberpunk is finally worth ALL your time.
If you like your games in a neat little package that you can roll credits on within a couple of days - or a week or two at most - then you’re probably not reading this, because none of these games plan to do anything less than absorb your entire life and threaten your work and familial relationships.
In this article, though, we’re highlighting lengthy masterpieces that won’t let you down. We’ve excluded multiplayer games and roguelikes for obvious reasons and so long as you don’t just inhale the main questline, these will all take you about a hundred hours for a single run.
If you do happen to be a fan of excellent super long games then you’ve probably played most of the ones on this list but stick around for a little nostalgia trip, or just to hang out with me because that would be nice and I get to tell you about the games I like.

9. Persona 5 Royal
What’s more emblematic of this list than a game that already took players 100 hours to complete, or 140 in my case, and then came out again with almost all the same content but enough quality of life updates and bonus narrative elements that we played it all again for another 100 hours. Or 140 in my case. It sounds like I’m being sarcastic but if you did any or all of the above I genuinely believe it would be a fantastic use of your time.
Persona 5 Royal is, in my opinion, one of the greatest games of all time and judging by its critical and player response, pretty darn popular among many of you as well. Even if JRPGs aren’t usually your thing, admittedly they weren’t mine when this one arrived in 2019, noone is doing it quite like Atlus. Persona 5 was already a slam dunk and Royal ups the ante with more content, even slicker gameplay mechanics, the same enviable style, and the trademark deep and heartfelt stories that we’ve come to expect from the series. If any game gets this many 10/10s among gaming outlets and players alike you should usually always give it a go, but if you’ve been wary due to the time commitment just know it’s not going to be an investment you’ll regret.
That’s my “bullying people into playing Persona 5 Royal” checkbox crossed off my annual to-do list, let’s jump over to my other favourite thing to do: bullying people into playing Larian Studios games.
