AEW: Fight Forever - 10 Things You MUST Do First
Experience blood, exploding deathmatches, a crazy AEW story mode and more.
AEW: Fight Forever is a bit bonkers.
No, it's not a WWE 2K23-beater in terms of sheer content or customisation, but there's a charm to everything that ties the package together neatly. Plus, this is everyone's first official chance to play as All Elite's finest, and that's certainly something to shout about when the only option until now has been CAW-based.
You won't exactly be overwhelmed with options when first booting up Fight Forever. That's not a complaint, simply fact. However, there are some things gamers need to know before playing. Specifically, what the hell should you tackle first? That's where this handy guide to the game's best features (some of them hidden) comes in handy.
So, sip a beverage of your choosing, grab a pal and dig in - there's a lot more to AEW's game than the first few menu screens reveal. This is absolutely something Yuke's and THQ can build on if they plan on turning Tony Khan's output into a full-blown series that'll eventually rival WWE's product for the top spot.
Here's everything you should try in the game early on.
10. Tweak The Controls
The controls in AEW’s game take a little getting used to, and some of the button mapping feels a little off. The good news is you can switch pretty much every contextual action in the game to a button you feel more comfortable with, and some players will defo want to do that.
Give that a bash before getting accustomed to Yuke's rather unintuitive layout.
Maybe unintuitive is harsh after years and years of playing 2K style. This is just something a wee bit different, but it's a good idea to tinker and squeeze the most from the control scheme. Switching which buttons control reversals for strikes and grapples, for example, is an excellent starting point.
The same goes for how your character whips others against the ropes/into corners, and which button makes you pick rivals up off the mat to dish out more punishment. Seriously, dive into those menus and create your own layout early on.
