Catherine was released a few months ago to big success, attention turned to what developer Atlus was working on next. Turns out Atlas is working on multiple titles, however most important for fans is that Persona 5 is in development. There were very little details released about the game except that many of the same people who worked on previous Persona titles will be returning.

"with the usual staff members in place. That includes Katsura Hashino as director, Shigenori Soejima as character designer, and Shouji Meguro as main composer."
In addition, Atlas is teaming up with the creators of BlazBlue, Arc System to work on a 2D Persona fighting game called; Persona 4 The Ultimate In Mayonaka Arena which will have characters from both Persona 3 and 4. Finally, Atlus also announced they will be porting over Persona 4 to the PS Vita in Spring 2012 under the title of Persona 4 The Golden with these new features: A new character named Mary 1.5 times the voice of the PS2 version Wireless support for calling on others to help you when you're about to die in a dungeon. Other elements that fans of the original have heavily requested New opening anime with new song from Shouji Meguro New animation movies None of these announced games have been confirmed for release in any country outside the of Japan; however with the recent success of Catherine in the United States and people all over Europe eagerly anticipating the game's release I am pretty confident at least two of the three games will be released worldwide. To me Atlus is one the few Japanese video game developers who still innovates and gives you a lot of choice in how you want to play their RPGs. I wish more Japanese game developers would follow in the footsteps of Atlus and be creative with their games and try less to imitate western video games.
