Though Activision are yet to confirm the game (at the time of writing), a Playstation listing alongside a promotional trailer has been leaked onto the Internet, suggesting a proper reveal is imminent.

It's important to note, though, that unlike the remaster of the original Modern Warfare, this release will only cover Modern Warfare 2's campaign. There's been no official word yet, but you'd presume the reason is to avoid splitting the fanbase currently enjoying the Modern Warfare reboot, which launched in 2019.

Instead, rumours suggest, older maps from MW2 will make their way over to the latest game's multiplayer suite, following in the footsteps of legacy levels like Shipment and Rust which have already been updated and added.

Likewise, a Classic Ghost Bundle to accompany the release will launch for use across Warzone and MW's multiplayer, offerings skins and callsigns based on the character.
