Of all the games that require a tips n' tricks breakdown, you wouldn't think the loveable Orange Marsupial himself would factor in. Crash's legacy is one of childhood nostalgia, fuzzy PlayStation mascots, enjoyable crate-smashing and the hoovering up of Wumpa fruit... right?!

Nope! Not anymore, anyway.

Yes, there is an incredibly sharp learning curve to the newly-minted N. Sane Trilogy, but it is a surmountable one - though getting to a state where you're happy to run the same portions of levels over and over (and over) again without it taking a chunk of your sanity is the real challenge.

Because make no mistake, whilst the later Crash titles - Warped in particular - would ease off on the sheer brutality of checkpoint placement and pixel-perfect jumping required to get by, Crash 1 is 90s platforming at its finest/most primitive.

"Jump to the specific chunk of turf we've allocated or go back and try it again" the game says, slapping your formerly smiling, "But I thought this was going to be easy!"-face.

Crash's N. Sane Trilogy can be an excruciating slog of a game; one where a trial and error mentality has to be accepted, but let me help ease the pain...
