12. Dying Before The First Checkpoint Doesn't Affect A 'No Death' Run

If you're some sort of masochist and can't get enough of slamming your head against the brickwork that is the first Crash, chances are you've had a pop at acquiring the coloured gems.

Locked behind various requirements, the most common is to not die whatsoever across an entire level. However, although that sounds very stringent, the game only starts counting a 'no death' run AFTER the first checkpoint.

So get used to the terrain, psyche yourself up and know that no matter how many times you fall, providing you don't break open that 'C' crate you're good to try again.
