It's the most wonderful time of the year. E3 is just around the corner, and it seems as though - this year more than ever - a huge chunk of the upcoming releases have already leaked. Between the likes of Ubisoft being forced to announce Assassin's Creed: Odyssey and Devil May Cry 5 being the worst kept secret in the industry, there's a plethora of titles fans are expecting to see going into the weekend.

Obviously there's still plenty of surprises to come from the major publishers though, and a good chance that a lot of fake rumours have been given credence alongside the ones which are all but locked in. Not every leak has been weighted the same in terms of credibility, and there are some which fans have gotten hyped about that are going to be cripplingly disappointing when it turns out they were fake the whole time.

E3 always results in the hype train getting out of hand, so it's time to temper expectations by looking at some of the most believable rumours heading into the event which are destined to not actually come true.
