Mass Effect Andromeda: 9 Overlooked Positives Nobody Wants To Admit

There's little point denying that, of all the AAA video games released in 2017 so far, not one has proved as controversial and undeniably disappointing as Mass Effect: Andromeda.

Arriving amid a surge of hype, BioWare's new entry into the hugely popular action RPG series was essentially released unfinished, and critics and fans alike rightly piled on BioWare for thinking they'd get away with such a blatantly half-baked end-product.

Rightful though much of the scorn has been, it's important to have some perspective and ensure that you don't jump on the hate bandwagon just for the sake of it. Is Andromeda a great game? Not at all, but on its own merits, is it a good game with a lot of impressive, even outstanding features? Absolutely.

Sift through the so-so story and oft-repetitive gameplay and there are many franchise-worthy elements here which BioWare will hopefully carry through to the fifth game...assuming it actually happens.
