PS5 & Xbox Series X: 8 Biggest Questions We STILL Have

It's getting a bit ridiculous.

I'd love to start this article with "We're X number of days away from the launch of PS5 and Xbox Series X, but at time of writing we still have no idea when either are dropping, or for how much. Such is the bizarre current state of both Sony and Microsoft's next-gen offerings, that it feels there are more allusions to quality than anything truly tangible.

At least Sony have showcased a handful of titles that will be arriving in the next few years and at launch, but the answer to "Why should I buy either of these?" is met for the most part with shrugs and recommendations from diehards.

Obviously I place myself squarely in the latter bracket and personally love the rush of diving into new hardware, but something about this ninth generation feels notably off.

It's not just that we've all had one hell of a year when it comes to spending priorities and overall mental and/or physical wellbeing, but major entertainment industries feel a net impact as well.

Going into the fourth quarter of 2020 and gearing up for an entire new generation of gaming should feel far more propulsive than it does right now.
