8. Seriously, How Much And When?!

In what feels like a first for the industry, both Sony and Microsoft have publicly stated they're waiting for the competition to step forward; literally playing a game of chicken with each other on price and release date, with the consumer sitting in the middle.

Whatever happens, both these consoles are set to arrive before the close of 2020, leaving the obvious question of "How long do we wait?"

There's at least one more showcase penciled in for September from both companies, where Sony or Microsoft could give us this necessary information. The longer we wait though, the less sure both parties seem to be on what they're offering.

With retailer postings and sheer guesswork doing the rounds every other day, it's high-time those who have to save up close to half a grand to buy a new console know when they're handing it over.
