Star Wars Battlefront: 8 Past Features DICE Must Bring Back

Galactic Conquest, Hero Assault, Command Posts?! What were they thinking?

EA€™s Star Wars Battlefront has been out for over two months now, and has been greeted with a mixed reception by long-term fans. On one side, Battlefront offers a gorgeous looking game and the soundtrack that accompanies it is incredible. It€™s easily one of 2015€™s best designed games in terms of graphics and aesthetics, but compared to its 2005 predecessor, several staple features desperately need to return. DICE, known for the incredibly successful Battlefield series, were tasked with a difficult job of bringing Battlefront series to this generation. As soon as the game was announced, expectations were extremely high, perhaps unfairly so. In a perfect world, everyone would have just expected Battlefront 2 to be ported across and updated accordingly, but that would have been too easy for DICE too do. With the devs introducing a distinctly different game to the old series, there are still many features that were omitted from the 2015 version, much to the disappointment and frustration of fans. Star Wars Battlefront has the potential to be one of the greatest games on this generation, but without the original features of what's gone before, it€™s in danger of becoming a generic shooter with a Star Wars skin slapped over the top.
