Did Respawn lead with the wrong demo?

E3 2019 seemed to come and go just like that. As far as E3s have gone in the past... it wasn't exactly the best. But still! There were some positives to draw from the event, one of them being Respawn's demo for Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order.

The first single-player focused Star Wars title released under EA's tenure of the license, Respawn's game won't run on Frostbite and seems to have plenty of promise. It has a likeable protagonist, a gripping story, and even some compelling combat - even if you can't dismember stormtroopers like you could back in the 'good ol' days'.

Bizarrely, though, it seems as though the studio kept the most exciting details surrounding their game off the showfloor. Sure, what they showed off was appealing, and even gave fans a good idea of how the title will play come November 15, but there were plenty more exciting tidbits they didn't dwell on in the demo.

It's still a ways away from its release, but if Respawn can stick the landing with some of the concepts they didn't show to the public, then Fallen Order could end up being a very enjoyable game indeed.
