Street Fighter 6 is here!

After months of hype, beta tests and previews the latest entry in Capcom's seminal fighting saga has arrived and it is ????????. Capcom have learned from the debacle of Street Fighter V's launch by packing SF6 with a bevy of content, all backed up by the series' traditional best-in-class combat (now more beginner-friendly than ever thanks to the inclusion of Modern controls).

However, such is the state of contemporary gaming that no fighter is ever truly complete at launch. DLC will play a pivotal role for SF6 going forward, with Capcom announcing the first wave of fighters before the game even came out.

It was this announcement that actually inspired this article, as while Akuma, Rashid and newcomer A.K.I. are all worthy additions, the inclusion of Ed (a combination of Balrog and M. Bison who pales in comparison to both) makes us worry about Capcom's future roster additions.

This list will take a look at those members of Street Fighter's iconic cast who deserve another chance to shine, as well as characters from other series who would fit in well with SF 6's aesthetic. Characters such as...

10. Morrigan Aensland

The first non-Street Fighter character on this list (but by no means the last), Morrigan would be a fun, flashy addition to Street Fighter 6's colourful cast, and would carry on Morrigan's post-Darkstalkers career as the Crossover Queen.

Darkstalkers - the series in which Morrigan debuted - may have ended back in 1997, but the series has lived on in the hearts of fighting fans due to Morrigan's numerous appearances in other Capcom projects. Capcom vs SNK, Namco x Capcom, Tatsunoko vs Capcom - any time Capcom needs a brand representative, they always come back to everyone's favourite succubus.

As her resume shows, Morrigan is a proven fit for any type of 2D fighter, and the glamorous queen of the night would gel well with Street Fighter 6's gloriously OTT sense of style.

Also, the last time Morrigan graced our screens was in the utterly execrable Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite, and that ?????? be the last word on one of fighting games' most iconic characters.
