Tekken 7: 7 Overpowered Characters That Must Be Fixed

Tekken 7 has been gracing Japanese arcades for the best part of 2015 now, giving Bandai Namco the opportunity to listen to player feedback and make crucial tweaks to the game before it arrives on the PS4 (with VR support, no less) early next year. These tweaks will most likely focus on making sure the game is as balanced as possible, so that no characters stand head and shoulders above the others when it comes to rewarding player practice with in-fight effectiveness. But it's pretty much a given of fighting games that there will be imbalances, caused by masterful players pluckily discovering which characters exploit the game engine at the highest level, the developers' attempts to introduce new characters with unique fighting styles, or outright bad moveset design. The Tekken series is no exception to this rule, and contains its share of characters that - in their own ways - are an absolute drag to fight against. If you're a casual Tekken player hoping that this list will validate your belief that Eddy and Christie are cheat characters, then you'll be disappointed. Those button-mashy characters are designed for beginners, and the simple way to overcome them is by learning their equally simple attack patterns and animations. Here are the 7 Tekken characters who are disproportionately tough to fight against, and who urgently need to be toned down (or nerfed, to use the technical term) before Tekken 7 lands on the PS4. Note: Fans will already be familiar with this, but Tekken's universal Legend for button mapping (PS4/XBO) is as follows:
