Tekken 7: 7 Overpowered Characters That Must Be Fixed

7. Lars Alexandersson

Just who the hell is Lars, and what gives him the right to just come along and start muscling his way into a key character role in the Tekken storyline? That's the sentiment of many Tekken veterans, who don't appreciate his anime superhero appearance and Namco's push to make him challenge Kazuya and Jin as a key character of the series (by making him a long-lost Mishima or some such nonsense). Then there's Lars' moveset, which rewards small effort with devastating results. He has several moves that are nigh on unblockable, such his Double Action (f,f,3+4) low attack and an easy-to-execute launcher (u+3) attack that smashes through just about any high, medium and low blocks. His Stack Up (d+3+4) attack is similarly invisible. There's a good case to be made that this weird Swedish Mishima imposter should be axed from Tekken 7 altogether, so the story can wrap up the long-running Mishima story without being distracted by Lars' weird romance with a robot. Unfortunately, that's not going to happen, so as a way of curbing the general resentment towards this character he should be down-powered significantly.
