WWE 2K18: 7 New Gameplay Tweaks You Need To Know
Finally, playing as Goldberg feels like it should.
A new lighting system, souped up Creation Suite and a brand new online Career Mode (Road To Glory) were just some of the major features 2K shouted about before WWE 2K18's release. All of these additions are cool, but they'd count for nothing if the game still looked like an awkward mess of glitchy animations and played with the same painfully slow gameplay.
The gameplay is slow, there's no getting away from that, but this year it's not quite so bad.
2K favour simulation over arcade 'pick up and play' sensibilities, and that's unlikely to change so long as they're the ones in charge of making WWE's games. It's a good thing then that the developers realised they had to tweak a few things if 2K18 was going to better 2K17 as an experience bell-to-bell.
It's one thing to look good, but another entirely to play well. Other features are hogging all the glory, and yet it's some of the more subtle changes 2K have made to 2K18's gameplay that deserve the most praise. They're getting closer to making WWE video games fun again...
