Every Universal Orlando Halloween Horror Nights House 2019 - Ranked

Here's what happened when I faced my fears at Universal Orlando's Halloween Horror Nights.

The most horrifying time of year has begun at Universal Orlando Resort, Halloween Horror Nights.

The park is transformed on select evenings into a horror fans paradise, complete with 10 scary houses, 5 scare zones and two unbelievable shows. The event is described as the world's premier Halloween extravaganza and it's hard to argue.

I was lucky enough to be invited to join a group of brave individuals on a private RIP tour. We got to experience everything horrifying that Universal Orlando could throw at us.

It was a long, enjoyable night of screaming and laughing as we walked through all 10 mazes. We were even given special permission to take photos of the mazes which (although a little blurry, sorry) are all throughout this article.

This year the team behind Halloween Horror Nights really did a fantastic job with the mazes. They range from fun to terrifying, giving you everything that you could want.

These are my thoughts on each of the houses. With HHN29 being a stellar year it's an incredibly difficult task to rank each one, so I've also marked each maze out of 10 too.

10. House Of 1000 Corpses

The trouble with ranking is that something needs to go last.

House of 1000 Corpses was the first maze of the night and actually started the evening strong. I got a decent amount of jumps and the maze was filled with colour, sound and gore. For a house based on an exploitation style movie, it was actually pretty light-hearted fun!

The best doppelgänger of the night goes to the scare actor playing Captain Spaulding at the house entrance. If he turned out to be the actual Sid Haig I wouldn't be at all surprised.

The reason House of 1000 Corpses is low in my rankings is; 1) I loved other houses more. 2) I didn't get around to seeing the movie before the event.

What Culture

One piece of advice I'd give is to make a point of seeing the properties before you head to the event. Not that you won't enjoy the maze, but you'll miss things. When someone asked me if I held back a bit to see something, I didn't because without seeing the movie it wouldn't occur to me that I would have to.

All that being said I actually REALLY enjoyed House of 1000 Corpses. It was an excellent start to the evening's festivities.

This maze is a treat for fans of the movie, but even non-fans will enjoy this one.

Final Score: 6.9/10
