The 2013-14 Premier League made an exciting return on Saturday. There were a couple of surprises on opening day, whilst 5 of the top 7 from last season all recorded victories. Both Manchester City and Manchester United found the net on four occasions whilst Arsenal are already 3 points behind last season's top two, as well as Chelsea and Tottenham. Four debutants scored, six penalties were awarded and there was only one draw to kick off the new Premier League. The three teams promoted from last season's English Championship all kicked off the season with defeat and neither managing to score a single goal between them. The Premier League is back and based on the opening weekend's excitement (and the previous 21 seasons) we've got a lot to look forward to over the next nine months. Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United have all made a claim for the title each living up to their tag as the three pre-season title favourites with comfortable victories.
