5 Reasons Leeds United Should Be A Premier League Club

By Josh Challies /

Leeds United's fall from grace has been well documented over the years. In the 2003-04 season they fell to the second tier of the English football, mostly due to huge financial trouble that ultimately crippled the club. In 2007 things got even worse as they were relegated to the League One, the first time the club had played in the third tier of English football. In 2010 they returned to the Championship and they've stayed there ever since. Since then they've been regulars in the play-off race but haven't really had their chance at a real crack at returning to the top division. This year they currently sit just outside the play-off picture but there's still a long way to go, lots of points to be picked up and the league is wide open. Leeds United are a massive club and it's a shame to see them outside the top division of English football. In the game against Watford at the weekend, which finished 3-3, the stadium was rocking and it was a brilliant atmosphere. I'd love to see Leeds back in the Premier League and here's my 5 reasons as to why they deserve to be there.
