It looks as though a similar transition is happening with Theo Walcott. The man has recently signed a new deal at the Emirates and has been played in his preferred central role, and shown his worth there as he is scoring for fun at the moment. Also, the signing up of the British youngsters on long term deals is significant as Arsenal have long been accused of having a foreign spine, with no passion or grit. I think it is unfair for the Arsenal fans to claim that Wenger does not know what he is doing, as he is an experienced manager who has won most of the trophies available to Arsenal. However, the fans do not want to live on past glories, and if Mr Wenger does not secure a top four finish this year, he may well find that the patience of the board and the fans, might finally expire..
