Newcastle: Check Out Alan Pardew's Football Manager 2015 Stats

Overly cruel, or perfectly fair?

By Simon Gallagher /

With Football Manager 2015 set for release on November 7th, the Beta is now available to fans who have pre-ordered the game, and while some features are missing (including online play), it looks to be another absolute triumph for SI Games. In the absence of a full review (strictly embargoed until next week, despite "normal" fans openly assessing the game on social media and their own non-press blogs), what can be divulged is the some intriguing stats for Newcastle fans. As the Magpies still sit dangerously close to the relegation zone after a year of abject misery and some truly awful performances, fans have been questioning manager Alan Pardew's suitability to the job. Assessing his stats in real life is a difficult thing - his man management and tactics would clearly score low for most fans, while mental stats like confidence and aggression will be high - but thankfully SI have provided their own assessment. Do you agree with their ratings?
Those missing stats are a sham, as the Tactical Knowledge, Motivating and Judging Player Potential aspects are clearly massive parts of Pardew's job - and the ones that are the biggest issues with his current managerial style. But it's interesting to see 13s for Tactical, Technical and Man Management - the mediocrity is pretty nailed on, and his Attacking stat of just 9 seems a powerful endorsement of his inferior ability to coach attacking. And ammunition for those who wonder why he hasn't yet hired a specific attacking coach. Do you agree with these stats? Share your thoughts below in the comments thread.
