With rumours that a sequel series is in development, many Star Wars fans have recently decided to revisit Star Wars Rebels.

Rebels, a sequel series to Star Wars: The Clone Wars, takes place between Revenge of the Sith and the original Star Wars film. It tells the story of a small band of Rebels, including Jedi Knight Kanan Jarrus and his padawan Ezra Bridger, Twi'lek pilot Hera Syndulla, Lasat tough man Zeb Orrelios, Mandalorian artist and warrior Sabine Wren, and the lovably annoying astromech droid Chopper, as they fight against the Empire a few years before Luke Skywalker and Han Solo did.

Rebels tells a serialised story, in contrast with the anthology series style of Clone Wars. Every episode builds off the previous entry in the series, and tells one continuous adventure, rather than focusing on smaller story arcs with a different cast of characters. As such, Rebels put out some great episodes - some which changed the series for the better - and others which function as fun one-offs, in many ways taking a break from the main story.

Here are the ten best episodes of Star Wars Rebels!

10. Visions And Voices

Season 3's Visions and Voices opens when Ezra starts seeing and hearing Maul through, well, visions and voices. This leads Ezra to Dathomir, where he and Maul awaken the spirits of the Nightsisters. While the spirits tell Maul exactly what he asks for, the location of Obi-Wan Kenobi, they possess Kanan and Sabine, and Ezra has to fight his enchanted friends in order to save them.

This episode is creepy for all the right reasons. Hearing Maul's voice at the beginning of the episode and seeing him meander around Rebel Base may be the scariest moment to ever air on Disney XD (by default). Plus, the episode returns to Dathomir, which never failed to spook viewers in Clone Wars, and the planet retains its eerie demeanor here.

If any fans want to spend Halloween in a galaxy far far away, they should look no further than Visions and Voices.

This episode also marks the first time Sabine uses the Darksaber, but more on that later...
