10 Things Doctor Who Wants You To Forget

If only these moments were Silents, then we could all just look away and forget them.

If you've ever sat down and watched every single piece of Doctor Who-related content ever made, then firstly, well done. That's bloody difficult.

Secondly, think about all the times something didn't seem right, or appeared to not quite fit in with what came before. There are quite a few examples of that, aren't there?

That's because Doctor Who has existed for approximately 80,000 years, and it's hard enough to keep continuity in a show that's only been on for two seasons, let alone 39!

As a result, there are many things that Doctor Who would probably like us all to banish from our memories, whether it's an event from a newer episode that contradicts events from an older one, or a character saying or doing something that never gets brought up again.

And sometimes, a plot point is so unbelievably stupid that it would be easier (and less painful) for everyone to just get a lobotomy and forget about it.

The Internet list-maker is the sworn enemy of weird TV moments, so please enjoy these ten confusing, alarming, or straight-up embarrassing moments from across time and space.

10. Danny Pink: Pro Gymnast

Clara Oswald's character got an interesting new wrinkle in Series 8 with her new love interest, former soldier Danny Pink.

Danny basically ended up as the third wheel in the Doctor and Clara's friendship, and was opposed to their time-travelling exploits.

He also turned into a Cyberman, but that's a story for another list.

One of the only times Danny did get in on the action was in The Caretaker, where a murderous robot named the Skovox Blitzer turned up at Coal Hill School. The Doctor, posing as the janitor, has to take it down, but he needs a little help from Danny, who inexplicably pulls off this insane Olympic-level front flip during the final battle.

Where the hell did he learn to do that?!

Danny used to be a soldier of course, but it's not like they teach acrobatics in the army. Also, where was this ability when he was run down by a car? Couldn't he have just flipped over it like Spider-Man?

"Spider-Dan, Spider-Dan, does whatever a Spider-Dan does..." okay we'll stop.

Danny's impressive gymnastics were never seen of again, making this moment stick out as highly unusual in retrospect.
