http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x2gyhoo_10-things-you-didn-t-know-about-doctor-who_tv Doctor Who is a cultural phenomenon a show that started on a whim (originally meant to be educational in nature), and wound up becoming the most successful, longest running Sci-Fi series in history. It's not hard to see why. The character of The Doctor is mysterious, enigmatic, and capable of traversing space and time taking us to unimaginable worlds and encountering hundreds of intergalactic races along the way. That minuscule fraction of the premise alone is enough to get most people on board, and throughout it's run, the show's cult-like following has steadily snowballed into worldwide acclaim. But in it's storied 52 year history, a lot has gone on. The show faced (and was successfully felled by) the axe during it's initial run. There have been countless cast changes (some terrible 'Almost Doctors'), careers have been made and broken, fans have rebelled to the level of sending death threats to cast and crew, the show has been boycotted, 'unoffical' Doctors have been swept under the rug, and that's without even going into the 1996 TV film and Torchwood. There's literally too much to process! So with that in mind, we're here to take you through 10 of the biggest things you probably didn't know about Doctor Who!
