10 Times The Walking Dead Ripped Off Game Of Thrones

'Kill the boy, Glenn Rhee...and let the man be born.'

I love Game Of Thrones. I love The Walking Dead. I love them both as completely separate entities, but is that purely because they're essentially the same show re-packaged in a different skin? It may seem like a stretch to compare a deeply political, medieval drama with a modern-day apocalypse scenario, but it's extremely hard to ignore the fact that there are some striking similarities between them, with HBO and AMC surely glancing over their shoulders to check up on the other network's business. The Walking Dead blazed onto our screens half a year before Thrones, but a good chunk of the latter's source material had been released by George R.R. Martin long before Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman's comic books hit the shelves. With neither author expecting their works to be transformed into global brands, is it possible that they could taken a sneaky look into each other's work? You may think it sounds crazy, but judge for yourself, the evidence is here. From characters, to storylines, to terms in both worlds, there's a mountain of eerie connections on top of the fact that your favourite characters from both shows will always, ALWAYS die a hideous death. Still don't believe me? Flick onwards for a look at two of TV's finest shows and the suspicious, beard-furrowing, 'wait a minute...' similarities that bind them together.
