10. Cowards

Sam Tarly is one of the longest-running, most innocent characters in all of Westeros. He has only killed when absolutely necessary to save his friends, but on the whole, he's a self-pitying 'craven'. He's a coward, and he isn't afraid to let people know that. Flick across into the Walking Dead world and you'll find a very similar character in the shape of mullet-donning Eugene. Like Sam, he provides some light relief during intense scenes, and is happy to ignore his problems at the risk of conflict. He has proven he can step up when it comes to a life or death situation - also like Sam - though at the end of the day, he's still a cowardly man compared to those around him.
