Doctor Who began its television life as an educational show, teaching people - mostly children - about the wonders of the Earth's past, while still keeping things futuristic as well. While the show has veered away from this initial concept since its inception, its legion of fans are still educated by the Doctor and companions, but now in a different way. Whereas the information given was more of a scientific nature in the beginning episodes of Classic Who, the show has started to deliver important life lessons for people to use in their everyday lives as it's progressed over the years. Sometimes they are plain as day to see and understand, while some need some analytical thinking and an "outside the box" approach to see how it could be applied to one's life. While the Doctor has taught people on the show many things, including piloting the TARDIS, opening it with a snap of the fingers, or that "Beans are evil", viewers walk away with knowledge passed to them by an alien who has taken Earth up as an "adoptive planet", of sorts. Here are 20 life lessons that Doctor Who has taught us over the years. Where would the human race be without him?!
