American Horror Story: Apocalypse - 5 Ups & 1 Down From 'The Morning After'
No need for rules anymore. Chaos has won.
Contains spoilers from American Horror Story Season 8, Episode 2.
American Horror Story commenced its end-of-the-world themed season last week, delivering a rather spellbinding premiere episode. Now that we've been introduced to the disturbing world of Apocalypse, and all those who come along with it, the second episode - entitled The Morning After - sheds some light on the illusive co-operative organisation.
Following on from the revelation that Michael Langdon is pretty much in charge of the Co-operative, the Anti-Christ decides to enlist few of the outpost's members, hoping for them to join him at a new safe haven known as The Sanctuary. However, there's a twist: there is a limited number of spaces available, which causes conflict among the survivors, as they all vie for one of the coveted positions.
This subplot gives us an opportunity to learn more about hairdresser Gallant and his celeb grandma Evie. We also learned quite a bit about Ms Venable and how she doesn't play by the rules. No surprise there, then.
The Morning After also includes several links to previous AHS seasons Murder House and Coven. However, the majority of the episode was focused on table-setting, rather than on actual story progression.
