Arrow: 10 Non-Powered Superheroes Who Should Appear

Because frankly, it's about time we saw Nightwing on TV.

While Barry Allen€™s introduction in Arrow may have ushered in a new era of superpowers and supernatural abilities (and a spinoff), Arrow remains a show based around €œheightened reality.€ While the show takes liberties with what its characters go through (someone trying to shoot a bow and arrow with bullets shooting past him would probably die in real life), it€™s still largely about normal people going through events that are technically plausible in real life. So while it€™s possible that later seasons may feature more super-powered people and events, at its core Arrow remains about normal people in extraordinary, but still possible, situations. Another great thing about Arrow is its inclusion of DC Comics characters. Not counting the return of season 1 characters, we€™ve been introduced in season 2 to Barry Allen, Brother Blood, Professor Ivo, Bronze Tiger, Solomon Grundy, Amanda Waller, Clock King, etc. The list goes on and on. However, outside of Oliver Queen himself, the show's other famous vigilantes have been The Huntress and Black Canary. Huntress, a.k.a. Helena Bertenelli, was introduced last season taking on her costumed identity as a means to kill her mobster father in revenge for him having her fiancé murdered. Meanwhile, Black Canary, revealed to be Sara Lance, has been using the skills she learned from the League of Assassins to help Oliver fight crime in Starling City. They may replaced her sonic scream with a noise device in the show, but she still kicks ass. With the show mostly leaning away from superpowers, it€™s a great venue to introduce characters from the DC Universe who fight evil without extraordinary abilities. It may be hard to believe, but Batman and Green Arrow aren€™t the only non-powered superheroes who produce results. With that said, I€™ve compiled a list of superheroes who rely on their natural intelligence and combat skills to fight criminals. These characters are the perfect candidates to team-up with Oliver at some point during Arrow. Who knows, they might even teach him a few things.
