Dexter: 5 Things We Learned From Season 8 Premiere

When we last left Dexter at the end of season 7 things were worse than ever. Once again Dexter had come very close to getting himself caught and he managed to completely destroy the life of his sister Deb who has long served as the show's moral compass. After Deb killed Laguerta in order to protect Dexter we were left wondering what's next? Will Dexter slip away unscathed once again or will Deb continue to protect him? It's been a long and winding road for Dexter and fans of the show. Some moments have completely shocked us and others have completely let us down. Most fans feel that the writing has been sub-par the past few seasons and the show has lacked direction. Luckily the writers seemed to have acknowledged that as well and did their best to get things back on track with season 7. This is the last run for the show and in order to leave behind the great legacy that this show deserves the story needs to go out with a bang. One thing is for sure and that is that for the past few seasons Dexter has been neglecting the fact that his actions have consequences. Last season he made quite the mess and we were all left wondering how he was going to clean it up. We had many questions at the end of season 7.
