It is almost fifty years of Doctor Who and we have seen the entire series cover historical events from prehistory to even the World War period. There are however some events in our history that the show should stay away from, even if it may do well with some of the audience. Most of the time, Doctor Who uses historical events for a lot of their episodes. Historicals started off in the Hartnell era, with wonderful episodes such as The Romans and The Crusades. But that doesn't mean all events are necessarily good to recreate in the series. There are other events that just are so sensitive to people, even if it's been ten or fifteen years since the actual event took place. It would just leave a bad stain on the show, and possibly lose some viewers because of the decisions they, the producers and company, could possibly make. A lot of these events listed are chosen because of just how much damage it did to the population, whether it be sickness or from accusations. Those or the other reason that it could really offend people. But I actually feel the producer is not that stupid. He wouldn't jeopardize the show's ratings by making an error like this. There are probably some occasions he has gotten historical scripts and had to refuse them. But then again, the BBC is very secretive about the stories they are making, especially the beginning of the new series. So we have no idea what kind of stories they actually receive. This article is going to look at ten historical events that Doctor Who should avoid.
