Every Archer Lead Ranked Worst To Best

This is going to be hard - boom phrasing!

Archer is an animated show that has run for a very long time and seen a variety of changes to keep it fresh. Part of what helps it to remain fun despite all of the drastic shifts is the compelling collection of leading characters that work within the spy agency/drug ring/private investigation company.

With a series as mean spirited as Archer, a lot of what makes the personalities fun is how they interact with each other. The hostile work environment breeds plenty of contempt and workplace "banter" that ends with a large amount of hatred and rudeness towards its staff, meaning that often the toxicity and cruelty of the characters is what helps them to remain relevant within the show.

While every role has a great place in the series, some of them are far funnier and more likeable than others. There isn't a large gap between all of the leads, and to discuss them in detail will allow us to delve into the complexities of the humour and excellent character work.

There will be some spoilers ahead, so be warned: you are in the danger zone.

8. Pam Poovey

Pam is an interesting figure in the series, as she often gets laughs but mostly through displaying a deliberately irritating personality. Her character traits tend to mostly come down to making gross-out jokes or uncomfortable sexual expletives. Sometimes this kind of simplicity can work, but in the case of Pam it makes her relatively underdeveloped.

It seems that the employees of the spy agency - and every subsequent reimagining - feel the same way, as they consistently belittle and bully Pam, despite her initial position being as the HR representative. This is a significant aspect of her role, as the majority of her humour comes from embarrassing herself or laughing at the mistreatment she endures from the rest of the cast.

Ultimately, Pam is a good character for the product, as she has a strong presence and works hard to be noticed. Unfortunately, her comedy never truly gets any better than how it starts, and her actual position within the team is never shown to be incredibly valuable.
