The books, being described as eshorts, will each feature one of the incarnations of the Doctor starting with the original William Hartnell version that made his screen début way back in 1963. In typical fashion, the show's writer Stephen Moffat has remained tight lipped about who's actually on the list, but with the first reveal scheduled tomorrow (Monday January 7th) he wont be able to stay quiet for too much longer. With the show being something of a British institution it is a safe guess that the names on the list will also be the best of British, and who better than JK? Other names being suggested by various sites include Anthony Horrowitz, Philip Pullman and Kate Thompson. Whether any of these names actually appear on the list remains to be seen, however for fans of the Timelord there's no better way to celebrate his 50th anniversary than with such a whos who of childrens fiction coming together to celebrate the much-loved Doctor. Which incarnation would you want your favourite children's author to tackle?
