You have to hand it to Warner Bros., they sure know how to keep the Batman content coming, don't they?

It's hard to imagine a time when there wasn't at least one live-action Batman-inspired show on TV but, the truth is that (spin-offs aside), before Gotham came along, there hadn't been a Batman show since the 1966 TV series came to an end. This year, however, promises to delve further into the Caped Cruader's legacy than ever before as, in the coming months we'll see the introduction of two more shows centred on the Bat Family.

While one of those is The CW's upcoming Batwoman (the trailer of which didn't go down all that well with fans), the other is the grittier prequel known simply as Pennyworth.

Set in 1960s London, Pennyworth introduces us to a much younger version of The Dark Knight's faithful butler Alfred - who leaves his life as a solider behind in a bid to start his own security company. This venture, however, results in him crossing paths with a certain Thomas Wayne and, as they say, the rest is history... history that we're finally going to see play out before our very eyes.

After teasing us for months, Warner Bros. has finally released a full Pennyworth trailer to satisfy its intrigued fans, but does it live up to expectations?
