The CW's Arrowverse is an ever-changing phenomenon that continues to push boundaries with its growing collection of superhero TV shows - the latest of which is due to arrive later this year. That's right, after much anticipation, Batwoman will debut on the network in October, joining fellow superhero shows Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl, DC's Legends of Tomorrow and Black Lightning.
The series will follow Kate Kane as she navigates her way through Gotham City in an era where its most iconic protector, Batman, has seemingly left it behind, vanishing without a trace. However, when she discovers the dark secrets of her cousin, Bruce Wayne, she sets out to prove that the city's Bat population is on the rise.
After Batwoman's debut (during last season's Arrowverse crossover: Elseworlds) received an overwhelmingly positive reception, it didn't take long for The CW to order a pilot before subsequently commissioning a full series.
Now, after months of anticipation, the first trailer has been unveiled. But does it live up to expectations? Let's take a look at the best and worst that it has to offer.
