Riverdale's third season came to a frightening conclusion in its game-changing season finale.

After Betty, Jughead, Archie and Veronica had spent all season wrestling with the mysterious entity known as the Gargoyle King, the much-anticipated finale, titled 'Survive The Night', saw them engage in a barbaric game of Gryphons & Gargoyles when a familiar face forced them to spend the entire night in the woods surrounded by deadly threats.

However, the Gargoyle King's grip over the town wasn't the only thing that reached its boiling point as Edgar Evernever's Farm found itself under extreme public scrutiny, forcing him to take drastic action.

Though Riverdale is known for its off-the-wall storytelling and unexpected twists, few could have predicted the shocking swerves that this finale would take. One victory has merely paved the way for an even deadlier defeat and, although it momentarily looked like the town's residents could breathe a sigh of relief, the concluding scene suggests that darker days lie ahead for Riverdale - days that could turn the show on its head entirely.
