Supergirl Season 4: 4 Ups & 1 Down From 'Suspicious Minds'
Supergirl returns strong with the best episode of the season so far.
Contains spoilers for Supergirl Season 4, Episode 10.
Since returning to screens in October, Supergirl certainly hasn't held back. Using its platform to spread messages of truth, justice and the American way, this season has, so far, seen the Girl of Steel challenged by the hate-spreading Agent Liberty - a man that has fed off humanity's fear of the unknown to turn them against any and all aliens. However, as we have come to expect from her, Kara Danvers didn't let that bigotry stand and, as a result, she managed to overcome the hate, personally seeing to it that Liberty was put behind bars.
Following a brief hiatus, the show returned to The CW for its midseason premiere this week. Picking up in the aftermath of her dismissal from the D.E.O., Kara continued to do her Supergirl duties - a decision that quickly put her at odds with Colonel Lauren Haley and resulted in her former boss launching an investigation with the intention of discovering her true identity. However, the unplanned attack from vengeful aliens put everything on hold.
With plenty of heart-racing moments, genuine suspense and an engaging subplot, 'Suspicious Minds' was an incredibly strong return to form for Supergirl and a reminder of how great the show truly is when the core characters are the primary focus.
First, the positives...
