Titans Season 2: 5 Ups & 2 Downs From 'Rose'

Last week, Titans made what can only be described as a triumphant return to the DC Universe with its second season premiere. An episode that left the show's dark days in the rear-view mirror, 'Trigon' allowed the team, more specifically Rachel Roth (a.k.a. Raven), to realize the full extent of her powers and, in doing so, defeat her diabolical father once and for all. And that ultimately allowed Titans to move into new territory.

That new territory was firmly established in this week's installment, 'Rose', which gave us a glimpse into how the titular heroes are adapting to life in the Titans Tower - three months after they disposed of Trigon. But with Dick bending over backwards to make Titans 2.0. a success, he couldn't resist offering another young newcomer refuge from whoever she was running from. If only he knew who her father was, right?

All in all, 'Rose' was exactly what it needed to be, channelling all the elements of a season premiere to provide the show with that necessary reboot feeling that the actual premiere did not, all while continuing the show's knack for continued improvement - setting the stage for a season that looks destined to outshine its predecessor.
