The Walking Dead: 7 Characters Who Need To Die Next

It's the right time to say goodbye to these folk...

So The Walking Dead made a triumphant return to our screens this month in rip-roaringly dramatic style and achieved the highest audience figures the show had ever received for any episode, with the midseason premiere "After". This was no doubt thanks to things finally staying consistently interesting in the prison, before all hell broke loose with The Governor leading an invasion on Rick's group, and, to the dismay of thousands of The Walking Dead fans, executing the much loved Hershel in the process. Hershel's death is the perfect example of a death of a character done perfectly, and in a well thought out manner. Yes, Hershel was undoubtedly one of the most popular characters, being the group's consistent moral compass, the father figure for a great deal of them, and not to mention being ridiculously badass in his one-legged way, but his death was something which simply had to happen to advance the show. For example, Hershel was the only halfway qualified medical expert the group had left, what with the death of Dr. Subramanian earlier in the series, so if you remove Hershel from the show, the remaining characters are immediately plunged into a much more intimidating and dangerous atmosphere. Plus, you have the dynamic of leaving two understandably peeved daughters behind, which should allow for an interesting reaction to spread amongst the surviving members of the group. So now that the second episode of the second half of the season has shown us exactly who has survived the aftermath of the prison, we're left to debate who will be the ones to die before the end of the season. Some may need to die to move the season on, like Hershel; others may need to in order to spark new life into stagnating characters, but others may go simply because the writers want to shock us. So here's who I think needs to die from the remaining survivors of The Walking Dead.
