10 Dream WWE Returns That IMMEDIATELY Became Nightmares
You're back on WWE TV and things look good. Oh no, wait...no, no they don't!
So you've made a dreamlike return to WWE and life looks good, eh? It'd be a shame if someone ruined it!
That meme-like sentence could sum up the borderline trolling of pro wrestling fans, WWE's own creative team (seriously, what were they thinking with some of these?!) and the universe itself to explain this nightmarish collection of comebacks that ended up being total disasters.
Frankly sh*te repackage jobs, bizarre attempts to give workers some personality and make them "entertaining", unwanted add-ons that backfired spectacularly and more - these happy moments turned sour in a heartbeat. Admittedly, it look a little bit longer for the rot to set in for some.
Not too much longer though.
Imagine the embarrassment of rocking back into view at WrestleMania, only to see your dreams dashed by an injury your own father once suffered on pay-per-view. That must've been humiliating for one Shane McMahon. What's that? Oh, surely you knew the wannabe Royal Rumble wrecking ball was going to feature here.
Shane-O isn't alone though. He's got some bad company when it comes to crappy comebacks that went terribly wrong almost instantly.
10. Matt Bloom
"AAAAAAAALBEEEERT! AAAAAAAALBEEEERT! AAAAAAAALBEEEERT!".
Matt Bloom must've wanted the entire WWE audience to go f*ck themselves as he tried to carve out a new path for himself by introducing the cartoonish Lord Tensai on the 2 April 2012 Raw. The traditionally-rowdy post-WrestleMania masses were out in force for his comeback, and they eh...sure made it memorable.
People trolled Bloom hard during his first WWE appearance since 2004. They totally ignored his new-fangled gimmick, and instead gleefully let the watching world know that this dude used to be called Albert. In fact, he used to be called Prince Albert - yeah, he was a walking penis piercing!
Tensai wasn't laughing along with the crowd though. He was desperate to make this second go at WWE life stick, and he was surely horrified when peeps rejected the fresh look to remind folks of a name he hadn't used since 2002.
This Lord was dead in the water creatively within minutes.
