The common perception of Vince McMahon is that he's as tough and as ruthless as a man can be. He's the man who used calculated coldness in putting wrestling territories out of business in the mid 1980's. He's the man who used Bret Hart for fourteen years in the WWF, before mercilessly 'screwing' him on his last night with the company in 1997. Vince himself has encouraged this 'heartless' perception, particularly with his hammed up portrayal of the Mr McMahon character. "You're fired" became his trademark, making McMahon a TV star in his own right. He dominated in the Attitude Era as wrestling's biggest heel. More seriously, on the real side of the curtain, there's been accusations that Vince is legitimately uncaring about his performers. High wrestler mortality rates have been blamed on McMahon's demands for ripped bodies and unrelenting travel schedules. In truth, that's something the WWE chairman doesn't deserve to be criticised over. Personal choices on steroids or painkillers are exactly that - personal choices. At six foot two inches and 248 pounds, he's an imposing figure. In his younger days he was ripped in muscle, perma-tanned and clad in luxury suits. Add to this his confident talking and you have a fairly intimidating guy, he's the definition of the masculine alpha male. However, behind the reputation, behind the appearance, Vince is reportedly a more sensitive soul. Every now and again, that softer side has came out. Here we look at the ten emotional times when Vince McMahon has cried his eyes out.
