If there is one thing that we know that World Wrestling Entertainment (read: Vince McMahon) seems to value more than anything, it's control. At least, if the rumors of him flying into fits whenever he sneezes are to be believed. That said, one can only imagine how much it must tick him off whenever something doesn't go according to plan. In fact, it's astoundingly easy to imagine that after the kerfluffle of the fans' reaction to Batista winning the 2014 Royal Rumble to face Randy Orton at WrestleMania XXX, he went out and bought a hat just so he could jump up and down, stomping it. Admit it, you're imagining it right now. Easy, huh? Anyway, that's just one type of scenario where things don't go as planned in wrestling. If that has Vince stomping hats in our minds, just imagine what it must do to him when he drafts plans in that mind of his for who he thinks could be the next Hulk Hogan, Randy Savage, Steve Austin, or The Rock, only to see those plans crash and burn before his eyes (and, in some cases, fans roasting marshmallows on the wreckage, as they tend to do). It happens. Wrestlers come and wrestlers go, some become true Superstars and others don't. Here are ten wrestlers you've probably all but forgotten were ever in WWE when they were supposed to be The Next Big Thing.
