What does one do after a career as out there as WWE superstar? What other job requires you to be on the road, travelling from town to town, putting on tights and pretending to beat people up? It's a weird gig, by anyone's standards, and in order to do it well you need to be at least a quarter crazy. When WWE stars reach the end of their career in the big time, they usually look straight to the little leagues, the independents and international tours. These can be lucrative, as the performer's get to cash-in on their WWE fame and sell their merchandise to eager punters. But you can't go on forever and sooner or later (once your body starts telling you it's time to quit) you're going to have to get a 'real' job. This was often a frightening prospect for previous generations of WWE stars, who knew no life other than wrestling and failed to adjust to life after the ring. These veterans are the ones still stepping into the squared circle as they enter their 50s and 60s, supplementing that income with frequent appearances on the convention/autograph signing circuit.
