By all accounts, WrestleMania 35 is going to have A LOT of matches.

With ten matches already announced and several matches not yet official but basically confirmed, 'Mania 35 looks like it's going to be the longest WWE pay-per-view of all time.

Whilst the world title bouts will undoubtedly get fifteen to twenty minutes and Triple H's match and entrance combined will probably take up the best part of an hour, it's likely that a lot of these matches are going to be incredibly short.

However, as we're about to prove, that's not necessarily a bad thing.

Whilst some things in life are better when they go for a long time (make your own assumptions there), wrestling matches can still be exciting and action-packed, even when they run short.

The Grandest Stage of Them All isn't immune to quick matches, with some of them being among the most iconic in the show's history.

From fast-paced, high-flying contests to knock-down brawls, the following ten matches definitely maximised their minutes and the wrestlers involved proved that a time limit didn't limit what they could do in the ring.

So, if you have a spare ten minutes, why not treat yourself to one of these great matches?

10. Rob Van Dam Vs. William Regal - WrestleMania X8

Any match involving these two was obviously going to be great.

WrestleMania X8's opening contest saw Rob Van Dam challenge William Regal for his Intercontinental Championship. Mr. Monday Night was keen to impress, as this was his first ever WrestleMania.

The two men had incredibly clashing styles, with Regal a ground-based brawler and submission specialist and Van Dam a high-flyer. Van Dam was incredibly over, thanks to his daredevil offence and unique moveset. As for Regal, he could draw heat from a crowd like no one else. But this only played more into the story.

The match only ran for 6 minutes and 19 seconds, but the two wrestlers got a lot in. They told the story of Regal trying to use his brass knuckles and Van Dam trying to stop him, like the valiant babyface hero. RVD eventually managed to score the victory, hitting the Five Star Frog Splash to capture his first Intercontinental Championship.

It was a great match that cemented RVD as one of the major players in WWF's upper midcard, as both men did a solid job in pumping up the Toronto crowd and getting them ready for the rest of the show.
