WrestleMania (if it even happens at all) is now less than a month away. Despite the rest of 2020 rattling past like a series of gormless dairy cows outside a train window, WWE's Grandest Daddy Of The Stage feels like it's been "around the corner" ever since Edge's music hit during The Rumble, with seldom little happening since to really set the pulses racing.

Before you start, that's not what Goldberg beating The Fiend did. It just raised your blood pressure.

Last year WWE's marquee show ran comfortably past the eight-hour mark, with fans in attendance going into the main event praying for a swift death rather than the historic star-making moment they'd craved for almost six months prior. "They can't ever do a show that long again," we all said, as they spent the rest of 2019 swelling the roster even further.

Thus with the clock counting down, five matches already booked, and another three just awaiting the rubber-stamp, there is still a huge chunk of the roster with absolutely nothing to do. Yes, they'll all stuff the assorted Battle Royals, but for the purposes of a decent bit of content, I am absolutely not counting those here.

It's called the pre-show for a reason.
