10 Most Confusing WWE Castoffs That TNA Signed
Sometimes there's a good reason Vince no longer wants someone.
Over the years, TNA has gained a reputation (usually rightfully deserved) as a place where former WWE wrestlers can come in and make some cushy money while having to do very little to earn it.
However, due to their major money problems over the past few years, that’s slowed down a bit. But at points, watching one cast-off after the next getting put over the TNA originals was frustrating, and made for some terrible television.
In some cases, though, you can at least understand why the company was interested in certain names. While the signings of Hulk Hogan, Rob Van Dam and Mr. Anderson may not have propelled TNA to new heights, there was at least a potential upside to bringing them in. In other cases, less popular wrestlers who were vastly underutilized like Raven, Gail Kim, Damien Sandow and Drew Galloway had a ton of supporters who wanted to see them pushed better, so bringing them in was also solid plan.
However, TNA has signed quite a few people who were let go from their larger employer, and we had no idea why Dixie Carter and her pals decided to give money and TV time to them.
They’ve hired quite a few men and women who never held championships, never had a fanbase and didn’t seem to have a lot of in-ring talent either. But dammit, they had WWE experience!
